Jungian Therapy

Image of bridge in veniceA lot of people ask what is Jungian therapy. Well, it’s really just an approach to therapy and the healing process. As a Jungian therapist I’ve adopted positive ways of seeing what others may call pathology or disease. Jungian therapy encourages us to explore our unconscious thoughts, attitudes and feelings so that we can access our deepest creative nature. When we understand ourselves more fully, we are free to make more conscious choices about our lives.

Jungian therapy also recognizes that we all have personalities that incorporate an inner and an outer essence. Often times we get so wrapped up in our physical lives and in things we have to do, or have, that we neglect the just-as-important inner side of ourselves. The approaches of Jungian therapy that I use, included with patience, mindfullness, and psychotherapy attempt to bridge the yin and yang of our personalities. Since working with acclaimed Jungian analyst, Marion Woodman, one of the most important aspects of my approach is understanding the body, mind and spirit connection.

Concerning the healing and revitalization of the inner side of the patient, such things as dreams and visualizations are taken into account as well as anything else that can bridge these two worlds that have grown apart.
